No promises, no demands. (Day 5 EM Fukawa's Yurt)

[Ichiro Daisuke]

He nodded at her first question. "Yes them."

Her suggestion though caused him to smirk.

"Now that would be something interesting to watch." He mused. "Just to see how most would attempt it."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa tilts her head in curiosity.

"How would you attempt it Ichiro-san?" she asked, curious.

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"Well, I'm no expert on such things, I'd like ask for a hammer and chisel though. And try and see if I could identify some sort of flaw in the stone."

"I've a little experience in finding such, I've learned a bit about it when sculpting."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa brightened a bit at the mention of sculpting.

"Ah, you've taken to studying sculpture, Ichiro-san?" she says. "It's a very impressive artform, if a bit difficult to bring out at a moment's notice to impress."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"Yes, I'll only really work in stone at home, or somewhere I'll be staying a while, and I'm honestly just a beginner. I find enjoyment in it though."

He dug around in his kimono for a few moments before pulling out a small wooden fox. "I've been doing a little work in wood while I'm here, practicing details, have a look if you like." He said offering her the carving for inspection.

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa looked it over. It was no great masterpiece, but it was a start.

"It's a good start, Ichiro-san." she said honestly. "I hope that you keep honing your craft. Artistic talent is something that needs to be nurtured."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

It was the opinion he was expecting so he was honestly happy with it. "Well I don't know how much time I'll have for it. But I do enjoy it, so I'll work on it when I can."

Hiding the piece away again after she returned it, he offered her a smile. "Is there a particular artistic talent you are nurturing Doji-sama?"

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa nods.

"A few. Singing, storytelling, oratory, with just a touch of poetry." she lists off. "At some point, I'll need to focus to truly master one of them, but I truly enjoy the common touches they share with one another."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

That was quite a few, but with a voice like hers he could understand her choices. "That's true in most things, even in martial matters. It's uncommon for a warrior to seek mastery in more then one weapon, even though he might have knowledge of several."

"I wonder if you have any inklings in which way you'll lean though?"

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa looked thoughtful at that.


"It's a good question, Ichiro-san." she admits. "They are all beautiful ways to share with others. I love singing because even when there is no one else around, I can sing for the pleasure of it. I love storytelling because it can educate and entertain others. Oratory...I'm not sure about. Will my clan ever need me to give a speech to a group? It's certainly the way with the highest chance of offering offense and leading to a duel."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"Well by my account you've narrowed it down at least a little already." He turned his cup before taking a sip of his tea. "Poetry didn't even warrant a second mention after all."

"And of the three left you seem most interested in singing and storytelling. Well, at least as far as I can tell."

[Doji Fukawa]

"This is true" she agrees. "But.....I'm not quite ready to close the door on the others."

She looks over to the Ichiro.

"Maybe I'll just master them all, just to show how artistic the Crane can truly be." she suggests.

[Ichiro Daisuke]

That caused him to smirk. "There is no harm in trying Doji-sama, but it seems like it could be the task of a lifetime."

"So, is it something you wish to devote your life to? Alongside the service to your Lord of course."

[Doji Fukawa]

A small shrug.

"I still have time to decide." she says, not really considering the matter. "But what of you Ichiro-san? What grand designs do you have in mind for your life?"

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"At the moment?"

"I've put most thoughts of the future on hold. A lot is dependent on if I remain a Badger or marry into the Unicorn, and it seems that's further complicated by which family I marry into."
