Lesson Number One (Day 4, Late Morning)

[Moto Khulun]

“Cousin, don’t be so meek, you are Unicorn, fight him till the sun turns to moon,” she says to Liu Yue with encouragement.

“He should be so lucky to have your attention.”

[Soshi Taira]

That elicited a chuckle.

"If you like, I could spar you both."

A sly grin. "It's how older students at the dojo test their limits, and how we reinforce the first part of my previous lesson. Sometimes, if they try very hard, the older students even manage to win sometimes."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue shot a glance at the Moto. It was not one of anger but simply accusatory. Seriously? What is wrong with you?

She pondered on Taira's offer for a moment. "I am not sure, Taira-dono. I do not want to risk any injury."

[Soshi Taira]

"I am a doctor, Liu Yue-hime."

That smirk widened. "But your point is taken, Moto-san is under my orders to take it easy. It would be unfair of me to countermand that directive, especially as her recovery should not be interrupted. Perhaps we can schedule the event for a later day."

[Moto Khulun]

"I'm fine," she replies.

[Soshi Taira]

"Perhaps, but I did specifically say you should take it easy for a day or two. I should not make a liar of myself, and Liu Yue-hime is quite right that the techniques I would have to use in the attempt would risk re-opening your wound."

He glanced between the women. "Would it satisfy you if I wrestled you each in turn? Or some variation thereof?"

These Unicorn women could be hard to please, sometimes.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"I find that to be acceptable," Yue confirmed. She took a step backwards as she was willing to let Khulun take the first bout. After all, Taira had mentioned earlier that he wanted to shift sparring partners.

[Moto Khulun]

“Wrestling is a Butaj thing, I really don’t care to engage in it. I prefer to punch someone when I have to or remove their head otherwise I am content to watch,” she says honestly. One Moto wrestles everyone and now every Moto must be wrestling Fortune she thinks with a shake of her head.

[Soshi Taira]

Taira nodded. "Then I will not trouble you."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue covered her face with her palm and eventually recovered. By then, she was done with word games. She stepped forward and resumed her stance. "Face me again, Taira-dono," she commanded.

Also not a bad one if you were someone who had a bit of an effect on the one you were grappling. Still, Taira shifted, pivoting his feet and pulling, hoping to swing her past, so he could get a better hold.

Taira spun her about, mimicking a violent throw, yet catching her at the end of the motion, so that she did not crash into the floor.
