[Iuchi Saksaha]

Saksaha's brows draw together and she admits, "I do not know well enough what you are accustomed to, so it is hard to say. I have heard that magic in the Empire has changed too, since Iuchi studied with Isawa so long ago. This is something I want to speak about with other priests, but the chance has not come my way yet."

[Soshi Yuuru]

Yuuru nodded and chuckled, "I guess that's probably right neh? This is a first for both of us. I've got a couple of friends who are priestesses from my clan that expressed an interest to learn a bit more. Perhaps I could introduce you to each other?"

[Usagi Tomoe]

Real smooth, monkey, Tomoe thought with a distracted smile as she listened to their exchange, though she had to admit that the magic of the Unicorn was something she had an interest in learning more about too.

Oh well, maybe Yuuru could fill her in on the details if they ended up having that meeting with his kin.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Distracted, for more reasons than one, that's exactly what causes people to lose their ground or falter where they were just so confident. Noticing the charmed smile she had only a brief moment to wonder what he had to be smiling about before suddenly he surged forward enough to knock her off her balance. Catching her ankles she felt the momentum back and twisted to her side so the impact was lessened significantly.

"Distracted," she uttered. "You have some fight in you Bayushi-sama," she said, a little surprised.

[Iuchi Saksaha]

"That could be good," Saksaha allows, with a slow nod. "If one is Bayushi Hotaru-san, in fact, we have already met, though the time and place were not right for speaking much of magic." Her lips twitch and she glances toward Tomoe as she remembers that scene.

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded, "She was one. And then another, a Yogo Mizuki. I'm sure they could help answer any question you had."

He smiled, "I may ask for a drink or a moment to speak with you in exchange for setting up such a meeting if you wouldn't mind."

[Iuchi Saksaha]

She has no fan, nor the habit of using one, but the hand Saksaha reflexively presses to her lips conceals their expression just as effectively. The corresponding lift of her eyebrows isn't hidden--but on its own it is somewhat harder to read.

"I did not see until now that I was making a bargain with a price." Oh, wait, was this what everybody meant about Scorpions? Oh!

"You know, since I have already been introduced to Bayushi-san, I do not really need a middle-man for this transaction, Soshi-san. So... let us not begin on such terms. I might enjoy hearing about your adventures. Isn't that enough?"

[Moto Butaj]

Butaj looks incredulously between the Mantis and the Lion. "Butaj is here to wrestle not to make judgements who is worthy wrestling with Butaj. That can be plain to Butaj only once he has wrestled, not before. You can sort it out between yourselves, take turns, or you can both attack Butaj, or one of you can take on Sidi Kalb who is a good cousin ready to wrestle even without training in Bariqu. Butaj wants it to be fun for all who watch, and for Butaj." Butaj vigorously pats the ground, waiting for someone to make a move, a wrestling move.

Like the Crab and Lion, they respect strength and courage over words. Words alone will not win this lady warrior's hand.

He took a horse stance much like what he had seen others did prior. Though he took the stance he was devoid of the understanding of it like root, body connection, structure. He looked at the woman who he had come to develop an actual liking to and held up his hand to her making a beckoning motion. His look was somewhat serious. It was a little playful. Not seductive. Almost flirty.

Come now Liu Fei. Show me that strength of yours again.

[Matsu Nintoku]

The Lion moved away from the Mantis, having wasted too much time speaking with her. His mind too clouded by his seething rage made him not notice all the women present, as such he removed the top part of his garment revealing his naked torso. His torso was covered with different scars; some clearly seemed as the product of sword or spear while others seemed to be the product of claw and teeth.

He assumed a position in front of the Moto assuming a normal attack position.

Butaj gives them the last chance to resolve it somehow before he would lunge against one or the other.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Getting to her feet again she immediately lowered into position again, ready for the last bout. When he 'beckoned' to her she waited the moment for his hands to get into proper position. Wordlessly, without waiting, she lunged forward. Meeting his hands at the center with the locking push but then quickly swept under with her right arm, hooking his leg. With a courtier like Suteichi it was only a matter of pushing up, lifting, with her knees at that point before they both tumbled to the ground. Instead of falling on him, however, she twisted to the left and fell to her side while using the momentum to roll herself away and up onto her feet again.

It was a quick, short bout, but as she shook out her arms there was the sense she held that she got her message across, even if she didn't. Separated from Suteichi by a few feet she took the slight moment as a breather and then glanced back over her shoulder before turning fully.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

That hurt...

Suteichi ambled to his feet again and looked at her. He thought about taking her on again. He despised losing but this was something completely out of his element and sometimes knowing your limitations is better than suffering further.

Another time, Shinjo Liu Fei.

There was still a look of determination in his eyes to prove himself to her as he bowed conceding. He approached her and bowed again.

"Thank you for the lesson Shinjo-sama. I have much to study for next time...should there be one." he said with a faint smile. Speaking to only where she would hear him, "I believe I must prepare for tea. I would not receive you looking like this."

[Yuzuki]

Well, she'd already given the Lion a chance to resolve it amicably, but he'd insisted. So now it was battle time. Watching the Lion position himself before Butaj however, she came to the conclusion that trying to knock him out of the ring was kind of the wrong move. It'd probably be seen as dishonorable to attack a man from behind, right?

So instead she went for Butaj. The Lion would just have to wait his turn.

"Victory to the bold," she said, before rushing Butaj and grabbing firm hold of him.

Butaj was not averse to bouncy women suddenly giving him hugs but before trying to send Yuzuki flying he was curious what the Lion will do!
