When the night has Come (Day 5 EN)

Daisuke was a bit melancholic as he made his way towards the archery fields, and it wasn't the death of a Samurai that brought it about. Chi-pu had been nice enough, and the understood each other in a way, it had certainly been easy enough to know they would be a poor match.

So unable to sleep he had decided on a little practice instead, the full moon provided enough light to shoot by, albeit with some difficulty. Arriving at the fields, he made sure they were clear before stringing his bow, a few dozen arrows would likely have him tired enough to rest.

To Daisuke's surprise, someone else was also using the archery range trying to find peace of mind to sleep well. The samurai-ko dressed in white shoots an arrow, misses her target and then sips from a bottle.

"K- Kuso!" Curses the Battle Maiden, thinking she's alone in the field.

"Next one, you drink." Perhaps she's not alone.

His eye's scanned the field but he didn't spot anyone, perhaps they were hiding in the shadows? No not likely.

Not sure what to say he takes up a position and fires down range, his arrow sinking into one of the closer targets. "Could you offer her that one for me?"

Kitakuhime spins around to look at the newcomer with an expression of surprise –– and lack of sobriety. She puts a hand over her mouth to suppress a hiccup with grace, and then pours some sake she found somewhere into a cup. A lot of it actually goes to the ground.

Her semi-shut green eyes aim at the Badger, and the red-nosed Otaku extends her arm to offer Daisuke what was left in the cup. "Ichiro-san! Good shot. Drink!"

Somehow he had been expecting that, most normal samurai didn't shoot arrows at things in the dark, of course he didn't stop to think what that said about him. At her offer he nodded and stepped over to accept the cup, looking into it for a moment before raising it in a silent toast.

Knocking it back he offered the empty cup to Kitakuhime. "Thank you for that Otaku-sama."

She fills it up again, then nods to him. Then bows to him, and lowers herself down, trying to make the bottle stand still on the ground. She takes her time.

When done, Kitakuhime fetches the bow she left resting nearby with another arrow. She rises up, blows a bang of hair to the side with her mouth, and inhales deeply, preparing to shoot. "What are the rules, now?"

He almost laughs a small smile creasing his lips, but he resists the urge being all to aware of the serious nature of drunk people at times like these.

"Rules?" He ponders that for a moment. "How about, if you miss I drink and if I miss you drink, and the one who makes the most out of ten shots wins."

"That way you get the choice between winning, or getting the other won drunk." They were a bit odd for rules, but this way maybe he could stop her from drinking too much more.

"Damned Orange!" She calls the mark and releases the arrow. With a sounding thud, it lands true.

"Oh! I didn't miss. What happens, again?"

"A fine shot Otaku-sama, and you get a point! Which puts you in the lead." He really hadn't expected her to hit, seems she was better then he thought. "Though we never discussed if we'd be wagering."

"But it was orange then?" Taking a moment he fired his own arrow down range, A solid hit on a Orange target. Turning towards her he flashed a toothy smile. "Seems like we're tied now."

"Thank you! The winner must be honored, someho-" Another hiccup is withheld. "Gomen."

The girl takes her time to get another arrow, cocking it into the bow. Before shooting, she suggests with a sly smirk, talking in a low voice again, "Loser must confess who they would like to marry."

There's a giggle, and the arrow goes off. "R-Red. Red!"

The arrow misses its target.

He smiled, she was rather cute when she was a drunk, well not that she wasn't already attractive. As she decided the odd he nodded. "That sounds fair to me." Even if he had no idea at the moment who he'd want to marry.

As she missed her shot he moved to the already poured cup "That's a drink for me then." He said before downing the cup, letting out a long slow breath he blinked a couple times, it was a bit stronger then he thought.

Refilling the cup he placed them carefully back before moving to ready his shot. "Red then." The targets he had been constantly missing days before. His skills did not fail him today though. His arrow finding the mark.

"Two to one then."

"Whaaa..." She pouts a bit looking at his shot, then approaches the Badger, measuring him up for a while in silence.

"Black." Kitakuhime decides, raising a challenging eyebrow to Daisuke while trying to fetch an arrow from the nearest quiver –– his own, probably. With the bow readied, she makes it sing too low, and the arrow never reaches its intended destination.

"You!" The girl tries to hold a laugh and snorts in the process, reminding herself he's the one to drink if she misses.

Perhaps luck was on his side tonight, he offered the young woman a smile as she looked him over, and didn't complain as she stole a arrow from his quiver, though it was a bit embarrassing.

Picking up the Sake cup, he downed it albeit a bit slower then he had the previous. That helped right? After preparing the cup for future consumption he moved back towards the range.

"At this rate you are going to have to tell me your heart Otaku-sama." He teased as he took aim at the Black target. It seemed he misjudged things though as his arrow flies high, missing the target completely. "Or maybe not."

Her snorting stops as soon as he misses. Honoring her part of the wager, she fetches the white cup and toasts with the full moon, "Kampai!"

She repeats the same refilling process he did before, thinking how clever it was. There's some spilling due the lack of precision, but nothing that would take much off the generous bottle.

Without arrows nearby, Kitakuhime looks at his quiver again, but decides its not worth bother him again. She waves dismissively and goes off in the field to collect some arrows.

"Maybe that's too much to ask... but only the best will listen to my heart." She counter-attacks his tease with one of her own, positioning herself at his side to shoot. "Black, still?"

It pierces the sweet spot.

Daisuke couldn't help but smirk as she mad the next shot, he hadn't been expecting that. "Now that was a fine shot Otaku-sama." He chuckled lightly. "I'll have to try my best if I want to have a listen." Which he realized now that he did want to know, of course he didn't expect to hear his name. Perhaps it was Kitsune-sama?

Setting up for his nest shot he closed his eyes for a moment in concentration. Before taking a deep breath and releasing the arrow. It was much closer this time but he still missed.

Playing it off he turned towards her and grinned. "Maybe I just need to get you a bit drunker."
