Dark Edge Village

The unceremonious arrival of the she-pup that had been given her this morning has ensured that Amaya was definitely awake. And so she took the little creature with her as she walked out to the Horsemanship Field.

Mei, Ti-Lu, and a small yellow and white puppy roam the fields, Mei yelling at the small dog as Ti-Lu runs through the plains.

After many minutes of training, Mei and Ti-Lu make their way closer to the village. Seeing another samurai out and about, Mei calls out.

"Good morning!"

She rides closer and when at an appropriate distance, she gives a bow from atop her pony.

"Well met, Miya-sama. How is Ti-Lu's ankle this morning?" She bows as the pup in her arms wriggles to be set down.

"He is feeling much better! I rode him two days ago and we managed to beat Shinjo Kemuri-san in a race, though he was sluggish. I let him rest all day yesterday and he seems much better!"

Mei's puppy runs around in the fields alone and unsupervised, getting in to who knows what.

"My heart is gladdened to hear that." She cocks her head to one side, "Kemuri-san, that's the one you sang for yesterday? It appears there is nothing sluggish about you."

"Yes, he would be the one. Anyway, Rokugani steeds are known for the swiftness! Ti-Lu would be sad to hear anyone call him sluggish!"

She pats her horses neck and the beast snorts a little.

"I must confess that I am happy to find you out here this morning." She stroked the pup's head, trying to soothe it a little. "I had so wanted to meet Ti-Lu."

Mei reins Ti-Lu close to Amaya and dismounts. Most notable, the woman had no assistance from stirrups, as Ti-Lu had no sadle on him.

"He would be happy to meet you, Ide-san"

She is intrigued and fascinated by the lack of saddle, though she wondered if it didn't grow painful to have no padding between rider and steed. She tucked the puppy under one arm and fished something out of her kimono sleeve: a small apple, blushed with pink.

Mei nods and tugs on the reins. Ti-Lu takes a few steps forward and then begins to sniff. He does not have a bit, his reins are instead connected to a simple halter.

"Would it be all right if I gave him an apple? I would never want to assume."

"Of course! I have never cared what he eats, so long as he doesnt eat while we ride! He can be a bit grabby sometimes, but he wont bite. Only mouth you a little."

She balances the apple on her hand, careful to ensure that her fingers are straight and lower than her palm. Like this she holds out the apple for Ti-Lu.

Ti-Lu walks forward a few paces more and snorts. His hot breath hits Amayas hand and then come the horse kisses. His lips move back and forth quickly, leaving a wetness on her hand, the tiny hairs on his lips tickling her palm.

When he finishes, the apple is gone

She laughs softly at the sensation, finding a small handkerchief in her sleeve and wiping away the residue. "Was that nice?" she asks as she gently strokes his nose.
