"I am glad, though, that the people I have met so far have been very understanding."

She nods along. "It will create conflict, but hopefully from that conflict will rise some understanding." She smiles. "I am glad as well. I would not want your first experience as hosts returning home to have been a negative one. Some of you might have just rode back out to the sands to take your chances there, if so. " She jokes.

She looks at him, a little surprised. "So soon? It would seem sudden to me. But then again, if they are used to traveling constantly, even the smallest stop might seem long." She pauses. "I wonder if they will find ways to serve their lord and the Emperor by traveling. There are magistrates and guards that travel with him that travel constantly. There is also the Imperial Legion."

She pauses. "They largely operate under the control of the Emperor, though the Emerald Champion will step in from time to time. They spend most of their time outside of the Imperial City, patrolling, guarding tax collectors or protecting various areas that have been deemed important. There are a wide range of activities they undertake and the work is seen as quite honorable. Each legion has its own reputation and specialization, to a certain extent."

She nods. " There is also work with the Imperial Heralds or Imperial Magistrates. The heralds prize fleet horses and good horsemanship. Likely they have never seen anything like your Setem. And it is important work. The magistrates discpense justice brought the Empire and hire individuals to fight on their behalf in matters of honor. You could also do each of you so chose and receive sponsorship from many noble clans. I suspect the Lion would be interested in learning more of the Inicorn's knowledge of horses. "

Her smile bobbled for a second but recovered easily. "I am slightly unusual compared to the rest of my Clan, it is true." She rubs her hand on the back of her neck. "The Beastmasters are often considered eccentric however. Some say that too much time with our beasts changes us." She keeps her face together and shrugs. "It is something you should know, if you continue to spend time with me."
