Having left the hounds and horse back at the encampment al-Kalb made his way out into the storm and pushed through the rain to find a perch atop one of the low hills. He had once more divested himself of his furs to avoid them becoming waterlogged and wore a simple hide tunic and leggings as he crouched down to watch the lightning streak across the horizon.
