Yuuru sat atop a small hill with a piece of parchment draped over his knees and a bit of charcoal in his hand as he sketched the landscape in front of him. It was no simple drawing he was making, but a detailed topographical map of the region. He looked out intently over the expanse and changed his perspective of view several times to get a proper grasp of the ins and outs of the little hills and vales in front of him.

Something perturbed the stillness of the landscape by moving really fast nearby the hill. White and purple moved at a high speed to one side, then to the other. Rider and mount stop, noticing a red dot atop a hill. With a thunderous gallop, they charge in –– the rider in silence.

Yuuru put down his charcoal and looked at the impressive steed that rushed toward him. He smiled coolly as the woman approached.

"Afternoon Unicorn-san." He nodded with a handsome smile on his lips. "Going somewhere in a hurry?"

Noticing a boy clad in red –– which has a low probability of being another demon –– the Otaku's steed abruptly halts, and Kitakuhime lifts herself up in the saddle to compensate the break. They dash, sliding for a while until a complete stop. With a caress on the mane, she blows a few kisses in the air to sooth Gekko.

The girl looks to the Scorpion and dismounts –– her hair flows madly in the air while she tries to adjust the headband. Once that is solved, she undusts her riding clothes (which were lesser today, due to the heat) and replies, "Good afternoon!"

She bows to him, making sure she her On remains proper and unexposed, "This shiotome is Otaku Kitakuhime. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!"

He nodded politely in return after standing. "Good afternoon. I am Soshi Yuuru, it is a pleasure to meet you Otaku-sama. It's an impressive steed you ride. What brings you and your partner out here?"

The girl takes nods and takes a bowl in hand, fills it with water from the canteen, and holds it so Gekko would drink –– all the while making Yuuru wait for her reply.

When the horse it satisfied, she whispers something to Gekko's ear: the horse neighs and stomps a leg down, then starts walk down the hill, nibbling grass, here and there.

"Gekko is grateful for the compliment. We were exercising. You?"

She gets closely nearby and stretches her neck to peek at his drawings.

He holds them up for her to see. "I draw maps of terrain. I usually do it in the forest that lies south of your lands; the one called Shinomen. This is quite a bit easier to represent accurately."

The girl looks back and forth between map and landscape a few times. Satisfied, she frowns a bit in her own thoughts, "It does look so."

Why is he drawing a map of our landscape: hobby or second intentions?

Lifting herself up, she walks a few steps away, looking to the horizon. "Why not painting?"

"Not the artsy type." He said simply.

"I enjoy making things of use rather than simple beauty. And I'm something of an adventurer... I like to go where no one has gone before. See things that no one has seen, and bring back insight to those who can use information like this. I'd be more than happy to let you all keep whatever I draw here. It's not meant to step on anyone's toes. Looking to be of help if I can."

She looks back to him and widens a flat smile, "I'm not the artsy type, either. Although, I enjoy poetry."

Heading back to the horizon, the fresh air fills her lungs and she stretches her arms up. "Adventures and unknown places. That's very Unicorn."

"I suppose. For me.. it's always been very Yuuru." He smiled slightly though she appeared not to be looking.

"Never enjoyed staying cooped up in one place for too long."

"Now? Probably over that ridge." He pointed.
