(Day 4, EM) Before the Steppe Gets Wet (Open, Riders!)

[Usagi Tsukimi]

She grinned at the wink, and her cheeks flushed a few shades of red.
"How do I... get on?" She pulled her hand back, and took a step back, looking at the horse with uncertainty.

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"Just come around here to the side, take my hand, and I'll help pull you up so you can sit behind me," he says offering his hand to help her up.

[Moto Butaj]

Huludai, the rascal, feels like showing off too! He makes fountains out of soil and morning dew and scares the weasels dead as his thunderous gallop cuts the steppe. Butaj just nudges him expertly to let off as much steam as his stallion wishes. Too much time in the cloistered box, time to prance like a bad boy! He rides past the Gokiburi and after several paces passes his front to the other side, lashing the air with his black tail!

Day 4 - EM - Horsemanship Race! - Ag/Horesmanship: 6d10o10k4 35

She did so, with a small smirk, and held out an inquisitive hand. "I trust you not to let me fall."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"Not to worry," he says as he pulls her up to sit behind him.

"You're going to want to hold on to my waist."

[Usagi Tsukimi]

"Whoa," she said as she mounted the horse, and found herself in a precarious position. Her arms snaked around Monk's waist quickly to keep her balance. "I suppose this is like second nature for you by now, hm? Being up here?"

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"More like first," he replies with a chuckle. "I've probably spent more time in the saddle than I have walking."

With Tsukimi in place he urges Meushi on to a slow walk at a comfortable pace turning towards the open plain. Easy for the Hare to stay on.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Meanwhile, the race that has no definitive end simply raged on. Seeing that Huludai had passed him Gokiburi was fired up to show him a thing or two! With Fei to guide him the two pushed harder, ran faster, and tried to outdo those that had just pulled in front of them. Taking cuts and using the terrain as best as Fei could see to try and cut into the lead.

Horsemanship, Roll 2: 30

She watched the race, and kept ahold of Monk. "So, your wife must also enjoy riding, then?" she probed.

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"It would be preferable," he says with a chuckle. "Not necessary, but it certainly would be a major plus for her. Hold on a bit tighter, I'm going to pick up the pace. Not like those two over there, but enough to have the wind in your hair." He waits for her grip to tighten before doing anything.

[Usagi Tsukimi]

She did so, taking a deeper hold of him, burrowing her chin into his back, "What if she had no skill as a rider, but was eager to learn?"

[Moto Butaj]

And yet Huludai and Butaj have just been getting started! Ululating wildly in a way the reverberates across the steppe, they spring forth like the wind itself, just leaping over obstacles without slowing down.

Day 4 - EM - Horsemanship Race goes on! - Ag/Horesmanship: 6d10o10k4 41

Soon, both rider and horse were seeing they couldn't match the ecstatic energy of those racing ahead of them. Still, they pushed on attempting one last time to pull ahead!

[Moto Butaj]

And it turns to naught because once Butaj and Khuludai feel like champions, they ride as ones. Being well ahead, they take a lap of victory that ends by the side of Fei and Gokiburi.

Day 4 - EM - Horsemanship Race Finisher! - Ag/Horesmanship: 6d10o10k4 36

"Haha! Butaj thinks you should berate the stablemaster for not feeding Gokiburi right!"

Both rider and horse were relaxing by the time Butaj and his steed returned. Offering a short wave of acknowledgement as they did. With a laugh purposefully boasted from the chest to travel the short distance she looked over Khuludai.

"I would think I should find whatever they are feeding Khuludai. That speed and stamina was nearing unnatural Moto-san!Your win was well earned that race."
