Sunset Breezes (D3, EE, Expecting)

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa gave a shy smile and just leaned to the side, getting a two armed grip of Gekko's neck. "I will merely give a few yelps of surprise here and there and call it at that for my cries. If you are just leading for now... perhaps save the galloping."

As they started at a trot though, Misa fell silent and just sat holding on. She had a smile on her face, cheek against Gekko's neck as she let the breeze ruffle through her hair, clearly enjoying herself.

[Otaku Kitakuhime]

"Hold yourself Battle Maiden, we are about to charg-- I mean, go down this hill." She lets go off Gekko so he could go down properly.

"Can you feel the chilly breeze?" The Otaku raises her arms in the air, stretching a bit while they go down. "I think it comes from your home."

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa gave a little nod. She still seemed to cling on to make sure she didn't fall off, but overall she seemed relaxed and calm. Again it seemed to be more self doubt than any doubt about the two leading her. "It feels very nice. I grew up with this wind, so I don't really consider it that cold. It always smells so free and invigorating to me Otaku-sama..." A little smile of reminiscence blossomed.

[Otaku Kitakuhime]

"You know what also feels nice?" She smooches again, just once. Gekko halts, turns around and starts to climb the hill up again, "Come back up here to feel the sunset."

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa's smile blossomed. "I can never turn down feeling Lady Sun's warmth on my face." As they crested the hill she let the rays warm her cheeks, sitting up a bit as a touch of her nervousness left her, allowing more of her body to get warmed by the sun's setting light.

[Asako Hirase]

A whole flurry of emotions erupted inside the Shinjo woman. She adored children but she knew that her injuries were very far from ordinary. They were even intimidating, sometimes.

She refused to let it get to her. Yue dismounted her horse and gave her three students each a deep bow. "Konbonwa, mina-dono." She swallowed. Oh it most certainly is weird if I refer to a kid as such. Hm, well, deepest respect to everyone! Yeah...

"It is a pleasure to see you all," she continued. Her eyes shifted between them all. "Who is my first student tonight?"

" -san, please, Shinjo-san." Hirase commented almost absently as he led the boy forward. "If we do not let Ichiro here go first, I fear he may expire. He hasn't yet mastered patience."

The boy, for his part, either hadn't noticed the nature of Liu Yue's injuries or didn't care. He was too busy staring, round-eyed, at how tall the woman was, staring first at her, then his father, as if to confirm that, why, yes, his father was the shorter one. After the second or third pass, the child started to giggle, both hands rising to cover his mouth.

Hirase, used to this, sighed and shook his head, smiling. "Impertinent, that's what he is."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki giggled as she watched the antics of the boy, but continued to keep quiet and simply watch for now, though she was eager to ride as well, she would wait until last. She was just the chaperone, after all.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue nodded and mounted her steed once more. She was relieved that the boy did not gawk at her injuries. "Could you raise him to the saddle, please?" She had her one arm ready to scoop him in. Huh, would be helpful to have another arm to hold him. I hope he's not the type to just fall off a horse.

I mean if Taira-dono fell... No, best not to worry.

[Asako Hirase]

This was accomplished easily enough, the boy giggling all the while as his father swooped him up by the hips to raise him toward the waiting Shinjo. Little Ichiro reached for her to help, chirping, "We're high!" as he did so.

Once she had a hole of him, Hirase let go, though he remained close just in case until the pair settled.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

I am not prepared for this at all.

Yue swallowed and kept the boy in the saddle in front of her. "Please do not move too much, Ichiro-san. I do not want you to fall off." Her horse gave a loud snort. "Ah! My steed, it's okay. He is just excited to meet you, yeah?"

The Shinjo muffled a sigh of relief and looked to Hirase for confirmation to go. As soon as she received it. she gave Hikazume a light squeeze and they began trotting along.

[Asako Hirase]

Just as she had been warned he would, the boy begin to squeal with excitement, his small frame practically vibrating with a desire to bounce in excitement. Only the instruction to stay still, paired with his slight awe of the big lady, kept the boy's body still.

Once the initial happy noises subsided, the boy began cahattering as quickly as he could, as if the words were some sort of pressure release.

"What is the ponies name? Is it a boy? A girl? Faster? Do you fall off? Why does it have shinies? Do you like rice? You're purple! Do ponies have kami? Why do we have a clothes house? Got new tabi, want to see?"

[Otaku Kitakuhime]

Getting near to Gekko again, she tells Misa, "Move a bit to the front, I'm hopping up."

With that, the Otaku holds up on the horn, and jumps over the saddle behind Misa.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue gave the father a nervous smile. She motioned for him to stand on the left so that he could catch the child if need be.

The chattering was difficult to follow even if Rokugani was her best language. She looked to the sky as she translated all of his words. "Hikazume. Female. I enjoyed rice at the dinner. Shinjo is my Kami," was all she managed to say as they went along. She kept the pace slow for now, waiting mainly for Hirase to give her the go-ahead to race off.

[Asako Hirase]

The Phoenix, at least, was much more confident in Liu Yue's abilities to protect the boy than she was. Thought he ambled along as requested and kept a sharp eye on things, the set of his shoulders and serene expression indicated a lack of concern...at least, until the boy started the questions on him.

"Why don't we have a pony? Are we going to live here? Can I get one then? Do ponies like cats? How do the clothes houses stay up when there is snow? Does it snow here? Why is it so flat?"

Hirase answered, patiently enough, then added an aside to the adults. "This is the hazard of Asako bloodlines...most of us start questions as soon as we can talk. His first word was 'why'."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Has your son not learned Yobanjin?" She looked down at him with a grin. "It is good to be curious, though."

She then gave the father a nod and signaled for Hikazume to go faster. "Hold on, please," she told the boy as the steed began to speed up. For now, she wanted to test how good this boy was at staying in the saddle. If he's meant for it, then perhaps I can show off everything.
