Yuuru had never come to this part of the surrounding area yet, and the scenery looked new and fresh to him. He found a good vantage point and smiled as he took out a piece of parchment and some charcoal to begin mapping out the terrain. He whistled a friendly tune as he worked; this was exactly the type of stuff he enjoyed.

Deciding not to participate in the archery either, Tomoe went back to the duelling fields to see if maybe she'd continue her practice on her own now.

Seeing the familiar Yuuru already there, the rabbit decided to try a stealthy approach to catch him by surprise. Like a shadow. In broad daylight.

Just a little closer, and I will pounce on him... kekekeke~

Yuuru's whistling and the sound of the wind seemed to aid Tomoes approach.

"Aha!" Tomoe exclaimed triumphantly and grabbed Yuuru by the shoulders, and... very feebly tried to push him down like she had tried to learn from the two Matsu this morning.

Yuuru turned at the sound of the noise and grabbed the woman by the waist and sat her down in front of him with her back towards him. He held her tightly for a moment before realizing who his attacker was, "T-tomoe?"

He held her tightly around the waist and chuckled.

The Hare squirmed a little pathetically against his hold. "Damnit, my plan failed!" she pouted.

He chuckled, "You planned this? If you wanted a hug you could've just asked."

She failed her arms a little in protest. "No! I wasn't planning on hugging you, hmph!"

"... Was going to surprise you and see if I could grapple you down, like you do in a fight."

He smiled and loosened his grasp while leaving his hands on her waist. "Well you accomplished the first part."

"And to think I even practised it this morning too, and to fail..." she puffed her cheeks in annoyance, wiggling a little to get free of Yuuru's loose hold on her.

"Maybe you're just a slippery monkey."

He chuckled, "Well if you could catch up with me in one day I'd be quite impressed. Who taught you?"

"Matsu Nintoku-sama offered to teach me and Matsu Kogo-sama when we met during the opening ceremony, and had our first session today. Not that I had much strength to stand up against a Matsu samurai though..." she frowned a little, but thought back to how she had cleverly surprised Kogo enough to land three hits in a brawl before she had.

"You saw him wrestle yesterday, in the dojo."

"I guess we can call that wrestling." He said with a chuckle. "He treat you better than the Mantis?"

Tomoe chuckled a little. "Yes," she nodded. "I'm still here, right?"

"I'm... mostly just proud of making it through a training session like that."

Yuuru smiled and nodded, "Good job. It's tough stuff."

He turned her around to face him while still sitting, "How'd you like it?"
