[Matsu Kogo]

She pauses. "Sake usually, but I think most are not too particular. I am not sure who makes plum wine now that I think of it. Too busy enjoying it." She laughs. "No they are not fond of alcohol. It does nothing for them. It seems to do something for you though. " She sips her shochu slowly, taking Shinjo-san's state as a tiny warning to herself for moderation.

[Shinjo Taichi]

"I assure you Matsu-san, I am totally fine. Your... the drinks here are definitely stronger than kumis, but one cannot let such things influence you." He was listening though, as he tucked away his bottle. Wouldn't do to make a fool of himself. "Speaking of lions though, I met one of your clansmen the other day... night... that called his lion his sister. Some among my clan, especially the Otaku, are often raised alongside their horse so that they can function better as a team. But I've never heard one of them referring to it as a sibling like that."

[Otaku Imane]

When the wild and​ exotic dancing inevitably wound down with the music, Imane gave Yurio a smile and bowed precisely. "Thank you Matsu-san, I think I needed that."

She looked over to where her instruments were waiting for attention and strolled over before returning with an odd-looking stringed thing.

"I promised our host that I would play something tonight. I wonder if you have ever heard a Morin khuur before? This is a piece I learned from my father."

As she began to play the sound carried across the fields. It was really rather good...

She smiles at him. "I am glad of it Shinjo-san." She perks a little at his mention of Shimizu-san. "Ahh you have met Shimizu-san! He went through gempukku shortly after me. We have known each other some time though." She pauses. "Shimizu-san's...language around his warcat is unusual. He has always seemed to me to be...connected more than usual to his warcat. But it seems largely positive, despite his odd turn of phrase. They worked very well together in training."

[Shinjo Taichi]

"Ah, Shimizu-san - that was it. He seemed like a nice enough person, I was just wondering if that phrasing was something common to those in your profession. I've never really been involved in the training of animals." He paused for a moment "So did you train Noburu entirely by yourself?"

[Matsu Yurio]

Yurio decided to take a breather after the non stop dancethon he'd ended up in since the music had begun.

[Matsu Kogo]

"Ah, Shimizu-san - that was it. He seemed like a nice enough person, I was just wondering if that phrasing was something common to those in your profession. I've never really been involved in the training of animals." He paused for a moment "So did you train Noburu entirely by yourself?"

She shakes her head. "No, it is not necessarily. Some do care quite extensively for their warcats and Noburu can occasionally be annoying, like a younger sibling." She ruffles the cat's fur, which receives a light play swat on the shoulder, which Kogo takes matter of factly, with no concern. "As we often meet our cats at a relatively young age, I had help." She pauses for a moment, choosing her words. "Noburu and I trained both with the other Warcats and other beastmasters, so we could learn the ways of working in a group of lionesses as well. With time, I will eventually bond with others and have my own pride. Noburu will be its leader."

[Shiba Kaizen]

Having seen the Bayushi return to playing Kaizen saw this an opportune moment for their finale. He moved his seat closer to the Scorpion and sat it down. He bowed to Suteichi and held his samisen by the neck as though he were drawing it from a katana's sheath in an almost threatening manner. He spun it in his hands three times and smoothly took his seat glaring at the Scorpion. As he sat he began to play a more lively tune and revealed the glare mere theatrics as he smiled broadly with the music flowing from his instrument.

So began their musical duel to end the show.

Suteichi gave a wry smile and held his samisen in the same manner. He faced Shiba Kaizen and began to play right along.

After a swig of kumis, Butaj joins the ensemble with another morin khur accompaniment, looking around.

[Bayushi Hotaru]

"I mean, those two Families have a like taste in beauty. Moto girls... many like more, um, rugged boys," Saksaha explains, swallowing a giggle. "If your cousin has particular friends, I do not know who, though I would not doubt it!"

"My cousin?" She tilts her head and returns her eyes to Hotaru with a curiously raised brow. "Which one?"

"Sorry! I didn't mean to say that he was exclusive in any way, as it's in the nature of our Family to be as socialable as possible. I'm just reminded of the time where I joined him with a picnic with Ide Amaya-san. From what transpired there, I almost was expecting Ide-san and him to be on stage together! Or even, in attendance...Alas, I'm sure something fell through. He seems to be doing quite well nevertheless!" She divulged the details plainly on the matter.

"That would be Iuchi Dong-Ha-san," she nodded with an open smile. "Are you two familiar with each other by chance?"

[Matsu Yurio]

After a swig of kumis, Butaj joins the ensemble with another morin khur accompaniment, looking around.

Yurio meandered across, avoiding any dancers in full swing and dropped to the ground next to Butaj.

"That was . . . fun."

[Moto Butaj]

"Butaj thinks so too." Butaj stops playing and extends his kumis skin. "Butaj is impressed with Matsu Yurio's dancing ferocity."

[Matsu Yurio]

Yurio looked at the skin before taking it. Amazingly this was the first time he had been offered kumis in the time he had been here.

"I've seen the Unicorn drinking this stuff. Wondered what it was . . . "

Before Butaj could answer the littlest of Lions took a swig and blinked.

"That . . . that is not what I expected . . . "

[Shiba Kaizen]

As Kaizen and Suteichi completed their musical duel it was apparent by the narrowest of margins that in the Battle of the Twin Kami that the Bayushi had won. Kaizen stood and bowed respectfully to the assembled samurai and then deeper to the Scorpion, "Bayushi-san that was the most enjoyable defeat I ever endured." The Shiba smiled openly having enjoyed the opportunity to perform with and for so many.
