"Desire eh? So they don't think you're a good lookin' guy?" He asked.

[Soshi Taira]

"They don't consider guys good looking."

Taira rolled his eyes.

"Benten's lovely blessings."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, " 'They'? Looks like you've been quite busy there cousin."

He then smiled, "Do you really need Benten's blessings to get married to them?"

[Soshi Taira]

"No. But I do not want to feel like an assailant every time I touch my wife."

He sighed, and then shrugged. "I do not mean... it is one woman."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded and chuckled, "Mah... Whatever we all may be thinking here.... I don't think this is the time for romancin'. You don't marry the one you romance, you romance the one you marry. You catch my meaning?"

[Soshi Taira]

"Yes... and she wouldn't be... receptive... to that romance, even if she wished to be."

He sighed. "At least, that is what she says."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smiled, "The world is impermanence, any woman who says she wouldn't have feelings for someone who dedicated their lives to making her happy... is weird. I've met plenty of people who have different preferences in their youth... it doesn't prevent them from having fulfilling and rewarding marriages. Eventually everyone must put aside their youthful dreams and settle down into following their duties. They can choose to enjoy those duties or not. But you are not 'an assailant' if you are bringing children into this world for the future of your clan."

He chuckled, "The fancy, wild, romantic encounters and love stories in the pillowbooks aren't reality. Sure they're fun an all... but eventually people have to come back to real life. I think your woman will too; it's just a part of life. Don't sweat it too much, or find fault with some deity out there."

Taira scowled.

"You don't want to allow me even a passing moment of self-indulgent sulking, do you?"

[Soshi Yuuru]

"Nope." He said with a smile.

[Soshi Taira]

With a shrug, Taira looked at the man, placing his hands behind his head. "So what about you? Love or duty in your life yet?"

He chuckled and tilted his head, "I mean... there are moments here and there. But so far those two things aren't working in unison. Like I said... I'll probably end up romancin' the one I marry rather than marry the one I romance."

[Soshi Taira]

"Well, I wish you luck in that. Hopefully she won't find you, by nature, unappealing."

That was rude. "I mean, not you, specifically, obviously."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "Such a gloomy goose. Pick yourself up man. It's time to be a bushi."

Taira sighed. "No, that was yesterday. I already fought the dragon. I'm on leave."

Yuuru blinked a few times before shaking his head and chuckling, "I'm starting to think my lord thought I was pretty weird or something the more I see the other Scorpion here..."
