Mizuki waits with Suteichi for the rest of the Clan to arrive.

First to arrive is the other Yogo, the unimportant one. Yuichi was not fond to the idea of a gathering, he was not fond of people, and especially if they are other Scorpions.

But whatever, he is here. He scratches the shoji door so as to signal his arrival and enters the room. He made a slight bow to those present. He doesn't know who is the Bayushi guy, but Mizuki is part of his family. Kinda, she is not very popular among the Yogo family. In any case they know each other.

'' Bayushi-san, Yogo-sama''

He enters and search for a place where to sat, far from the rest. In a corner of the room.

Mizuki, still somewhat sick, greets the Yogo, bowing slowly and deliberately. "Welcome, Yogo-san."

Recognizing him and remembering he treated her a little bit better than the rest of her Family (relatively), she smiles behind her mask. "It is good to see you, Yogo-san."

Having discarded his heavier layers today, Bantu arrived with a pipe between his teeth and took a position near the door. The room seemed big enough that his smoke shouldn't disturb anyone, but a spot with increased ventilation would definitely help if he decided to light it up.

"Soshi Bantu." He introduced himself with a bow to those already present. "Bayushi school, Shiro no Uragiru dojo."

Yuichi made a slight nod but don't say anything else. He is definitely not the most courteous guy around. To the new arrival he bows '' Yogo Yuichi ''

He took a moment, looking around the room, inspecting.

'' So...what is this gathering about?'' He says while inspecting the ceiling.

"All will be revealed in due time Yogo-san. Till then, some refreshment while we wait for the others?" Suteichi asked.

Yuuru arrived promptly and made his way into the small space with a nod.

"Good morning all."

Taira arrived, satchel over one shoulder, still dressed in his typical style. He wouldn't enjoy it, the hotter the day got, but given how much work he'd already had to do, something told him it would be a busy day.

"Good morning cousins."

A bow to those gathered, and then he took his place out of the way, waiting for the agenda to be explained. Practiced eyes took in the pallor of some gathered, and he began a mental catalog of his stomach medicines.

Mizuki introduces herself to people as they come in. Once everyone arrives (including PC's of players who haven't got on yet), Mizuki begins. She moves slowly and deliberately.

"Thank you for coming everyone. The reason I wanted us to all meet was so we can get to know one another and if need be, help each other. We are among the first Scorpion the Unicorn have met. It is important that we make a good impression and let them know that we are valuable allies that they can trust.

It is also important We invite their best in our Clan and give them those that can help bridge the gap between our Clans. I can't say anything about other Clans. But we weren't chosen because we were the dregs of our Clan. We weren't chosen because if we married barbarians, no one would care. We were chosen because we are among the best of generation. We have an important duty succeed at this miai. Our successes and failures will shape the history of our Clans. No other people have had such influence on Clan relations since the dawn of the Empire."

Yuuru simply nodded.

Best of the Best? Shape the history of the Clan? Dawn of the Empire? Since when Mizuki turn into an optimistic person? Yuichi was kinda suprised by this whole little speech.

For Yuichi this whole miai thing was a complete and utter waste of his time. He respected the wishes of the Family elders but he was realistic person. He accepted the Bayushi advice and for now he was just drinking.

Best of the Best? Ha! what a load of crap He thought

Taira shrugged.

"We are, if nothing else, the best choices for this particular duty."

Glancing among those gathered, he added, "And I expect we will open doors for our clan, one way or the other."

"I would have to concur with honored sempai-sama. It is important that we come to know and understand the Unicorn not just as suitors but also as a clan and culture. They have been gone for quite sometime and know of things the empire as a whole do not know. It is necessary that we get to know all we can." Suteichi replied as he poured tea for everyone.

'' Kanpai! '' The Yogo says sarcastically.

Yuuru chuckled at the Yogo's comments through his nose.
