Akil had rushed through the rain from his previous spot, still soaked as can be. Still, it was important to check on Setem and the other horses, make sure the rain had not become an issue for them. He was relieved to see the horses were alright... though as he looked out again, he wasn't sure he wanted to venture out too swiftly...

Kogo dashed into what stables with Noburu in tow, hoping she did not startle the horses. It was the nearest structure on the way to the Yurts. She heard Noburu's unhappy growls and clicked her fingers at her. "We do not wish to frighten our hosts Noburu. Calm yourself. It is just water." Noburu bumped against her leg, letting her know how she felt about shy stamens. "I know lovely one, I know. This is not your element. " at the end of th stables, she sees Shinjo-San, now that her eyes have cleared. "Konbamwa Shinjo-San. How are you this evening?"

Hearing Kogo's voice, Akil turned and offered a polite smile. "Ah, Matsu-sama. I am doing well enough," he nodded, "wetter than typically I would like to be."

She laughs behind a hand. "As am I. This storm is not what I had hoped for this night. But I am glad to see you nonetheless. I had hopes to her your playing at the music event tonight, but Bayushi-San told me it would be postponed til tomorrow due to the rain. "

"It is unfortunate, I was looking forward to getting to play with samurai from other clans," he shook his head, "I could play a song for you, perhaps?"

He nodded, then placed the flute to his lips. The music started out fine, a slow but happy sounding piece... until a sudden tinge from his wrist where one could easily see he had been bitten by a weasel caused him to briefly spasm, creating a loud screech that caused Setem to start neighing loudly. Akil blushed furiously in embarrassment.

Kogo startled just a moment, but kept her countenance. What caused such a thing? She looked at his countenance and then his flute hands.

She looked at Shinjo-san and saw a similar bite to her own on her hands. She held up her own hands, which had their own fair number of scratches and marks. "I never thought I would be so harmed by such a small creature. But they are vicious, those little weasels aren't they?"

He nodded at that, laughing it off lightly. "Indeed. You wouldn't think a little bit like that would be enough to cause issues with my playing. But lo and behold, between it and my other wound, it seems I have found a bit of misfortune today."

She smiles and looks at him directly, knowing how she would feel in such a situation and striving to set him at ease. "Your playing is beautiful. Misfortune comes at times, but it helps us appreciate the beauty that comes before and after."

"Thank you," he nodded, "hopefully tomorrow at the larger event my play will not be so impeded."

She nodded. "I hope so too. I look forward to hearing more of your skill." She pauses. "Would you like to play a game of Go perhaps? Until the storm ceases? I have it with me."

"I would not expect a grand fight if I were you," he smirked, "but I will always give it a go."

She chuckles at his joke and pulls out the board, setting it up in a clear space a little ways from the horses. She direct Noburu to lie down and then pulls out the two colors. "Which would you prefer, white or black?"

"Black is the handicapped, I seem to recall?" He canted his head, sitting down and trying to remember things. "I played a game yesterday, and it is the first time I had touched the game."
