Dark Edge Village

Having made her way out for the day earlier, Misa wanted someplace to relax. She'd found horses to be quite relaxing the past few days, so she had Sanmi guide her to the stables. She made certain to keep out of the way as the Unicorn peasants (and samurai) went about doing the daily chores needed to keep the horses well, but just being there and hearing the sounds and smelling the smells (both good and stinky) gave Misa a soft smile of appreciation.

Khulun brought some treats for Oguro, she pats his neck with care and begins combing the his black mane. The powerful Unicorn horse was bony black with a white star like shape around the left eye and it enjoyed her attentions.

She whistles as she works. She sees the Tonbo and says, “Greetings.”

After his . . . . . . epic failure in the egg hunt, Yurio slinked off to pretty much hide amongst the horses for a while. If anyone asked he planned on saying he had chased his errant grey Neko in here.

Instead he was open mouthed looking at some of what must be the Otaku warhorses.

Soooooooooooooooooo big!

She looks at the Lion… child? Samurai? She says with a chuckle, “Enjoying the view, Lion?”

"They told me . . .but I didn't think they'd be this big . . . "

"We had the same thoughts about your ponies..." she says with a sly chuckle.

He turned at last to see who he was talking to.

Oh that Moto . . . don't think I've talked to her yet.

He bowed.

"I am Matsu Yurio. You expected our ponies to be big?"

“We expected them to not be so… travel sized,” she says looking at the Lion.

“Moto Khulun, niece of Moto-dono and daughter of the One Eye’d Falcon and the Yellow Sand Tiger.”

“A Matsu, strong family,” she says with admiration.

Lion bragging cut in automatically.

"The strongest! And the biggest family in the Empire."

“Biggest family?” she says.

“I cannot say if Moto are big family but we are strong family of heroes, Moto have ten-thousand and one heroes, it is known,” she says with nod.

“Lion are strong clan, has mighty Lion found good wife to bring home to have many children for big Matsu family?”

"Not yet, there are still days of competition to go yet. No doubt I will find one soon."

He was still a bit stunned by the sight of the Otaku warhorses and took a moment to actually work through what she had inferred.

" . . . you have already found a husband then?"

“Some of the men wish to lay claim to my heart, we shall see if they survive the process,” she says with a chuckle as she combs Oguro’s mane.

“What does mighty Matsu look for in a bride?”

Misa heard the greetings from the maiden and bowed in turn, but before she could respond she heard a third, and the two started to converse. Sanmi whispered to her who they were, at least from their mons, and Misa nodded and smiled, even hearing there was a Matsu present. She wouldn't pry into the conversation, though she couldn't help catching snippets.

“Dragon, join us… no need to gawk at the horses alone,” she says with a chuckle to Misa.

"Strength and honour."

He blinked as she suddenly spoke to another. He hadn't realised Misa was there. Turning to bow he caught sight of the mons and there was an ever so slight hesitation in the bow.
