Day 6 [Late Evening] My Pony

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"Perhaps," she tempted, leading him away from the stall. "We will need to see if you can continue to manage to inspire me to song, I have high hopes and expectations for you there."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

He followed behind her.

"You would be correct in placing your hope in that. I am quite convincing and awe-inspiring."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"Yes, you are," she glanced back with a light smile that teased.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"I am unfortunately without my samisen to play. Guess I'll have to play later."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"A shame, you have such a pleasant tune, but we will endeavor on anyway I suspect."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Suteichi smiled. "Ah... you enjoy my playing?! I appreciate that."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"It was the most peaceful way to wake up in the morning," she said with a light smile. One that she hid almost immediately thinking about how anyone else who was around likely would have an intimate idea of what that meant.

"Perhaps we should part ways here, Suteichi? If not.." she stopped there. Not really wanting to admit so openly how it was actually growing harder to tear herself away.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

He stood before her and met her eyes.

"Are you really wanting to part ways under this evening sky because...I don't wanna go." he said looking at her with lovingly. The urge to touch her was all there and more.

"If my lady bids me to leave, I will. Otherwise, I'd walk with her. I'd sit with her. I'd be with her when the sun rises. " he leaned closer to whisper in her ear and covered his lips.

"Pleasure doesn't have to be physical, Hiomoyasu. Being in your presence pleases me. I have no music but my tongue can speak words of pleasure to you. A spoken verse, for just a little more of your time and then I will take my leave?"

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Fei listened, silently looking to him even a few moments after he finished speaking and then made up her mind. Walking off to the side she sat on a nearby bench, far enough to one side as to invite him to sit with her. Looking out to the evening sky until he did, but when he did she said, "You have your time. Use it well," she said, speaking it like a statement but holding the undertones of the request. It was hard to deny to herself that she did enjoy listening to him speak.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Suteichi approached and took a knee before her. His ebon eyes met her hazel ones. He did not make any physical contact with her, his words alone were enough to touch her. Speaking only to where she would hear, the words sprung up within him and out they came, words just for her and only her.

"Passions Ignited
Under the summer's night sky
Only her he wants.

She has lit this flame
The burning fire within
Embrace her I must

Uncertainty grips the mind;
Her heart he will have
And she will have his,

From this day till last,
Matters not the names they have,
They have each other. "

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Trying to get used to the idea, Fei pulled up Suteichi's fan halfway through the poem. Never averting her eyes from his as she unfurled it high enough to hide even her cheeks. Holding it like that for a long time before she lowered it.

"Your words continue to impress Suteichi-san," she said, part bringing him in on the practice by raising a brow slightly. Asking how she did without words.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"It takes practice... It does however seem a bit....cute when you do it." he mocked her joining her on the bench. He took the fan and demonstrated the subtle pop and the more aggressive pop. "It's all in the wrist. Pop and place." he handed it back to her.

"Try."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Fei furrowed her brows, not thinking or wanting people to believe she was the kind of woman who could be described as cute. However, she couldn't see what Suteichi saw. How, with the way she held it, it was like she was practically hiding behind the first thing that came to hand and it only happened to be a fan.

Still, she didn't comment on it more than the furrowed brows and delved into trying to figure it out. Watching his demonstration and trying again.

"Pop and place," she said, repeating the motion. Noticing the way he held the fan in his hand and copying that as well instead of the awkward blunt way she had been holding it before.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Suteichi snickered to himself. "You're doing well. Really, you are." He took the fan again and popped it open, when no one was looking their way he stole a quick kiss. Then he closed it and resumed a normal position.

"See?! Easy. Though I admit, I would probably look silly swinging a sword in your eyes."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Fei looked at him sternly when he snickered but the sudden kiss washed that expression away. Replacing it with one of slight surprise, and with her defenses down for the moment a sense of loss when his lips parted. Catching herself she tried her best to hide it well.

Composing herself, "At first, but if I can master this fan I am sure you too could manage to learn the way of the sword. If you put your mind to it."
