"Quite possibly." He agreed with a nod. "I can't say much on that account though, I only listened to a few people sing."

"I suspect there might be many matches that don't come out how some would like though." He swirled his bottle checking the contents before taking another sip. "Especially among those of us with lower standing."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"I hear that tragic tales are popular subjects for poetry and stories in the Empire." Yue smirked. "I suppose there must be due cause for such pieces of art to exist."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"I'm no expert on tales and stories, but from what I've heard you are right." He affirmed. "Of course it varies a bit from clan to clan, and by what's popular in the courts."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"I imagine such stories are not popular among the Badger then," she concluded with a shrug. Yue held her cup upside down to show that she was done and placed it back inside her pack. "Arigatou gozaimasu, Daisuke-dono. You have good taste in liquor. However, I hope you do not indulge too much."

"Not particularly no." He replied with a nod. "Especially lately." He watched her put her things away and offered her a small smile. "Might be a bit to late for that talk of over indulging, and I'm glad you like it. Whichever clan you end up in, if it's not the Unicorn, you are likely to have a hard time coming across kumis. Might be best to get a taste for sake."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"I may have to stockpile on kumis. I have a good amount of money in my pouch." She retrieved her coin purse and waggled it in front of Daisuke. "However, sake is not bad. I am also able to indulge in the sweets of the Empire." Her mouth almost watered at the thought of it.

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"That should get you enough to last a while." Maybe? He really didn't know much about kumis or how much it cost. It could be three times more expensive then shochu for all he knew. "I'm no expert on sweets, but I imagine you'd find the best of those in Crane lands. If you ever get to visit."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue tilted her head. "There are no Crane men present at this miai. I find it to be odd." She shrugged. "I suppose there do not need to be more competitors for you, Daisuke-dono. It is a shame there were not more of my Clan sent."

"It is a bit weird." He mused. "I'd think they would of sent at least one."

"You are right though, a few more Unicorn women eould make things less stressful. I've succeeded in my duty either way though. I'll be marrying a unicorn by the end of the miai." Even if he hadnt met her.

"And that is what is most important. Duty," she said, although for a brief moment she seemed to hesitate. She shook her head and got to her feet. "Arigatou gozaimasu, Daisuke-dono. You have been a good host."

"I'd say I've been a average host at best." Still he dipped his head in thanks for the compliment.

"but still, have a good evening Shinjo-san."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue let out a small laugh. "May you carry the Fortunes, Daisuke-dono." She gave the Badger a deep bow and walked away from the spot that had changed everything about this miai.
