[D9 LA] Now for Something Completely Different [Open]

[Ide Amaya]

She smiles brightly, "you swam? How was it?" She gives the pool a longing glance.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Not bad." He looked over as well. "The water was cool. It's deeper in the center, fifteen feet or so. It was a bit murky, but I imagine that it's settled since then."

[Ide Amaya]

She shivers a little. "I think it might be too deep for me, there's no proper shoreline, and one never really learns to swim from bathing in shallow pools and streams. Though it's been too long since I last got to bathe in anything larger than a bucket."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"The edges are around five feet deep, but that might have gone down over the past few days." he offered. "I have a rope with me, as well. It made it easier to climb out the last time."

[Ide Amaya]

Her eyes widen slightly in alarm, she's not even five feet tall! "Oh, well, I'm sure that I will be able to work something out eventually. After all, no man is going to want a bride whose last bath consisted of a bucket of water over the head."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

He studied the pool for a few moments. "If we had one or two of the obstacles from the horsemanship event brought over, we might be able to create a platform of some kind. Unfortunately, the rope and a shovel are all I have with me."

[Ide Amaya]

"Something for the future, then. If Dark Edge Village is to become more than a a collection of yurts surrounded by churned earth, after all the guests are gone."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Perhaps. But, this isn't a hot spring." he shrugged. "I doubt many would come here to bathe. It may become stagnant, too."

[Ide Amaya]

She pulls a face, "you are probably right."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Best to enjoy it while we can." he added, before returning his attention to the weasel. "So, what tricks have you taught your friend?"

[Ide Amaya]

"Well, we're just starting out, but so far he can drop whatever he's holding when instructed, and he's getting better at freezing on command. But the one he's best at is koko," when she says this, she taps her right shoulder lightly and the weasel leaps onto her arm and climbs quickly to her shoulder, perching there with inquisitive eyes and a twitching nose.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Very good!" he smiled broadly. Cafefully, he offered his open palm to the weasel to snif.

[Ide Amaya]

Satsujin reaches forward and sniffs curiously, whiskers twitching rapidly as he investigates the proffered hand.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

Kemuri laughed lightly at the inquisitive creature. "He's quite well behaved. You are a good trainer, Ide-sama."

[Ide Amaya]

"I wish I could claim credit, but I've only been reinforcing what he does naturally. He chose me, I'm just doing the what I can."
